Day 1 Treatment Planning
- Introduction
 - Treatment planning.
 
- Patients desires/needs, History taking, examination, SHEEP (single tooth assessment technique), occlusion, special tests (x-rays, including Digital systems), impressions, mounted study models (discuss small lab set up in practice), photography, record keeping, presentation of treatment plan, relevance of medical history.
 - Case presentations
 - Discussion of example cases

AM Non Surgical Treatment- Theoretical and hands-on
PM Surgical Treatment-Theoretical and hands-on session
Over view of regeneration techniques
Day 3 Endodontics-Conventional Treatment Techniques
- Overview
 - Conventional Endo –theory, papers, success rates etc
 - Hands on with hand instruments and rotary instruments on blocks
 - Lecture ‘Restoration of the Endodontically Restored Tooth’.
 
Day 4 Endodontics-Retreatment and Surgical
- Overview and discussion of retreatment surgical techniques
 - Retreatment-theory, papers, success rates, etc
 - Special equipment (ultrasonics and microscopes, post removing equipment, etc)
 - Retreatment- hands on. Microscopes for participants to use
 
Day 5 Intracoronal Restorations
- Amalgams
 - Composites
 
- Enamel/dentine structure and bonding- assessment of bonding systems
 - Rubber Dam
 - Posterior composites (materials, matrix systems, wedge systems, etc)
 - Anterior composites (review of systems)
 - HFO hands on
 
- Overview and presentation on indirect intracoronal tooth coloured restorations (Dr Hormoz Pourkavoos BDS MFGDP)
 - CEREC
 
Day 6 Crowns and Veneers
- Lecture on theoretical considerations of crowns (success rates, design, retention, resistance, practical techniques, temporization, equipment suggestions, impressions, lab instructions, etc)
 - Veneers as above
 
PM hands-on session on models/phantom heads. FGC, anterior PBC and single unit veneer including provisionals
Day 7 Smile Design
- Theoretical considerations of smile design (social impact, golden proportion, occlusal planes, face shape, wear, colour, etc)
 - Bleaching
 - Plastic Perio
 - Imaging and photography- lecture and hands-on with Photoshop Imaging technique to demonstrate to patients a proposed outcome.
 
Days 8-11 Edentulous Spaces
Day 8 Treatment options
- Treatment options, rationale, papers, shortened dental arch concept, etc.
 - Denture design
 - PM Orthodontics and their use in practice –Dr Alan Jones (Consultant Orthodontist)
 
Day 9 Bridges
- AM-Theory, options, design, retention, resistance form, temporization, impressions, lab instructions, etc
 
PM-hands on, on models/phantom heads. Posterior PBC, anterior all ceramic or adhesive
Day 10 Implants
- Overview
 - Designs, systems, procedures,
 - Restoration,
 
Mini Implants and use in retention of dentures
Day 11 The Worn Dentition
- Overview, aetiology, assessment, classification, examples of cases
 - Composites, Principles of the Dahl Concept, increasing VDO, “Mocking up” an occlusal scheme prior to definitive restoration.
 - Hands on build ups on models
 - Splints/Occlusal Appliances
 
Day 12 Emergencies/Practice management/ Treatment Planning Revisited
